Marcus has been sculpting full time in Tasmania over the last fifteen years. He works in delicately carved interior vessel sculptures and more recently large outdoor public works. They can be seen as social commentaries on contemporary western civilization. Concerned with the way humans interact with the natural or non-human world, Marcus’ ideas can be interpreted as visions for a personal politic in the 21st century.
