Over your four-days adventuring with us, we take care of everything. Your package covers transport to and from Hobart (or the airport), accommodation, the itinerary, all food and beverages, gear and parks passes, and all of the day-to-day planning in between. We can even help you organise appropriate accommodation for your time in Hobart.

Longer days in transport can be tougher for some of our younger guests. To assist you in considering the most appropriate tour for your family, we have included time each day in transport below. You might also like to take a look at our itinerary to ensure that each day’s adventure will suit your family’s needs!

Day 1: 2.5 hours travel from Hobart to Coles Bay (with toilet and food breaks) + boat travel (weather pending) + 20 minutes to your eco-lodge accommodation at the end of the day’s adventuring.

Day2: 20 minutes to Coles Bay from your accommodation (morning and night) + boat travel (weather pending)

Day 3: 30 minutes from your accommodation to Bluestone Bay.

Day 4: 2.5 hours travel from your accommodation to Hobart/Airport (with toilet and food breaks)

Our wonderful lodge hosts love any excuse to try something different and welcome the opportunity to cook for guests of all ages. Fussy and adventurous eaters alike are well catered for in our kitchen and we always have a selection of healthy (as well as those cheeky biscuits for the trail) snacks available. Have a chat with us before your adventure and we can make sure that our menu will suit the needs of your family.

Our dining experiences are communal, relaxed and low-fuss. If your team need a little extra room to spread out, or a few extra snacks before dinner time, take a snack pack out onto one of our bush side decks or touch base with your lodge hosts and they will put something together for you.

Family focus

Our groups are kept small to ensure that our team has time to focus on the needs of all guests.

Our guides love interacting with children and always make time for play. Each day, your professional nature guides will lead the group through another outdoor adventure – our team handle the details while you spend quality time with the family. Be it boating, swimming, walking, exploring or investigating new plants, rock pools or wildlife tracks, our guides are trained to engage guests of all ages and have plenty of child friendly facts up their sleeves! (All of our team members also have advanced remote wilderness first aid certifications and carry all necessary emergency equipment).

Our beach-side eco lodge is well equipped with a selection of beach equipment, fishing gear and snorkels. Being but 100 paces from the beach, after a day on the track, take a dip with the family in the Tasman Ocean before meandering back through the sheoak forests to your private room for a warm shower or bath.

Because we are lodge based, our family groups can request private accommodation wings, giving you the space you need to spread out, unpack and perhaps leave a drying rack out on the deck so everyone’s swimmers are ready for the next day!

You are based at the lodge for the entire trip, so feel free to bring along some of your favourite activities to come home to at the end of the day’s activities.
